Her lists have lists.
Mary, meanwhile, seems remarkably unconcerned about everything that needs to be done.
As Martha becomes increasingly consumed with getting everything right, Mary gently reminds Martha that there is a difference between preparing for a moment and actually being present for it.
REFLECTION: Sometimes we’re so busy preparing for the moment, we miss the moment itself.

Inspired by John 2:1-11
The wine has run out at a wedding.
For a successful wedding planner, this is nothing short of a disaster.
But when an unexpected solution appears, she discovers that the greatest challenge may not be solving the problem – but deciding who gets the credit.
REFLECTION: Sometimes the miracle isn’t the problem being solved. It’s what happens when our carefully made plans fall apart.

Noah is building an ark.
His neighbours aren’t convinced.
His wife is doing her best to keep everything – and everyone – under control.
As the questions, opinions and unsolicited advice continue, Noah remains focused on the task he believes he has been given.
After all… everyone thought Noah was crazy – until if DID rain.
REFLECTION: Sometimes we judge what is possible by what we see today. But faith asks us to consider what might be coming tomorrow.

Balaam has a mission. He also has his eye on rewards that might come with it. Unfortunately, his donkey sees something Balaam doesn’t.
Sometimes the voice we are least willing to listen to is the one trying hardest to protect us.
REFLECTION: Before we dismiss the voice in front of us, perhaps we should stop and ask: What am I not seeing?
